New Jersey Health Care Transparancy Act
The Dermatological Society of New Jersey is pleased to announce that the New Jersey Legislature has unanimously passed the New Jersey Health Care Transparency Act (Truth in Advertising). The DSNJ worked with both the AAD and MSNJ to strongly advocate for this bill. This bill is important to all medical professionals and patients in the State of New Jersey.
The Truth in Advertising Bill will prohibit any advertisement from containing information that misrepresents or falsely describes the health care provider’s skills, education, training, or board certification. It will help ensure that patients and the public know the licensure and qualifications of their health care providers.
